FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What is your wedding photography style?
A: Creative, natural and relaxed, is how I would describe my style, but I’m still happy to take requested family group shots etc. To read more about this, have a look at this page, and also check out my portfolio.

Q: Do you do family group shots?
A: Yes certainly. I work out with you before the wedding which group shots are important to you, then I can get them done quickly and efficiently on the day, without taking up too much of your time, so you can enjoy your big day.

Q: How long do you photograph at a wedding?
A: Usually I cover the whole day, but I am able to cover as much as you like, just get in touch and let me know about your wedding.

Q: How far do you travel to weddings?
A: I am based in Essex, but I am happy to cover weddings all over the UK, and even destination weddings all over the world. So far I have photographed weddings in Ireland, Jersey, Italy and Australia.

Q: How long does it take to receive our photos after our wedding day?
A: Approximately 4 weeks after the wedding.

Q: How many photos do we get?
A: I don’t limit myself on the day as to how many I take, but usually you’d expect to receive around 500 pictures. I also give you all the pictures in colour and in black and white, so the number would actually be twice as many (approx 1000).

Q: What if I don’t like having my photo taken?
A: This is very common, you are not alone! I find a lot of bride and grooms are shy when it comes to being photographed. But I try and do it in a way whereby it doesn’t become a chore and make it more relaxed and fun, it is your wedding after all, you should enjoy yourself! We can also arrange an engagement photoshoot prior to the wedding, to help you get used to the camera.

Q: Do you offer albums?
A: Yes I do, and as of this year I have a brand new album range, which are amazing quality at a great price. I can show you my sample albums when we meet.

Q: Can we print the photos?
A: Yes, you get all the digital images un-watermarked at high resolution and permission to print as you wish. This is important, as some photographers may charge you extra on top for the digital images or rights.

Q: Can we meet you before we make a decision?
A: Yes of course, a lot of couples like to meet up to have a chat about it all and see my albums etc, before making a decision. This is often done in person, but if you are further afield we can organise a phone or Skype call.

Q: How do we book you?
A: I have an online contract for you to sign, to complete the booking, and also I take a £200 booking fee to secure the date.

You're in safe hands

Q: Are you a full time wedding photographer?
A: Yes I am, which means I am very experienced and can devote all my time purely to wedding photography.

Q: Do you have backup equipment?
A: Yes, this is very important, I have spare cameras and lenses etc, so should anything develop a fault on the day, I can simply carry on.

Q: Do you have insurance?
A: Yes I have indemnity insurance and full public liability insurance.

Q: How do you deal with bad weather conditions?
A: I have photographed a lot of weddings in the past 10 years, so I’m used to having to deal with all sorts of weather. I have the equipment, the lighting, and the knowledge to deal with any weather on the day and I’ve got a positive attitude, which I find helps to use any situation to my advantage.

Q: What if you are unwell on the wedding day?
A: Firstly I would say, it would have to be something serious for me to not be able to do it, but if the worst were to happen, I am a member of several professional organisations, which means I have access to a lot of other professional photographers to call upon in the unlikely event that I was too ill.
