Hi, my name is John Thompson. I'm a wedding and portrait photographer in Essex, and I specialise in capturing relaxed natural portraits – real moments that you will treasure forever. I've become well known for my work as a portrait photographer in Essex, but my work will often take me out of Essex into Suffolk, Hertfordshire, London and across the whole of the south east.
I love taking pictures, and I love being able to capture the happiest moments of people's lives, creating images that will be enjoyed for years and years. I trained to become a photographer before honing my skills, working at various studios as a portrait photographer in Essex and London. I have achieved an associateship with the MPA (Master Photographers' Association) and the BIPP(British Institute of Professional Photography).
However, I believe my talent is also in connecting with people, because all this technical ability wouldn't be much good if weren't able to make people feel relaxed and at ease when being photographed. I started Pure Image Photography because I wanted to photograph in my own style, using my ability and experience to create my own business as a portrait and wedding photographer in Essex.
