Hi, I’m John, I’m a full time Essex wedding photographer. I specialise in creative wedding photography, capturing natural and relaxed images. I started my business ‘Pure Image Photography’ over 10 years ago, and since then I’ve had the privilege of photographing hundreds of events across Essex and beyond. I love my job, being part of a couple’s big day and being able to capture all the special moments – the tears, the laughter, the joy and the celebrations – it’s a real honour.

My style is to create natural and relaxed pictures that tell the real story of your day, so you can enjoy your big day and just concentrate on having fun. Weddings are filled with emotions and my job is to capture that and to give you dynamic images so you can relive the day for years to come. Essex weddings and beyond

I am based in Essex, but I also travel further afield. I have been all over the UK and I’ve even been flown abroad several times to photograph some amazing destination weddings.

As an Essex wedding photographer, I’ve now shot over 500 weddings across the region. I’m lucky enough to have worked at some of the county’s best venues. Getting married in Essex

Getting married in Essex means you have a lot of choice! Out of all the counties across the uk, Essex has one of the highest number of wedding venues, so you really are spoilt for choice. Having a civil cerermony in a licensed venue is a popular option for a lot of engaged couples, whilst others opt to exchange vows in a more traditional church setting, but whatever way you choose to swap nuptials, you have so many picturesque places in Essex to do so.

I think a wedding should be whatever you want it to be! I there is a certain tradition you don’t like then don’t do it! Want to do something unconventional? I say go for it!

There is so much inspiration for couples, such as wedding blogs and social media. You can have fun planning all aspects of the fun and festivities, from the flowers and confetti to the cake and the reception and of course the photographic style.

I aim for a natural and relaxed style of photos, and I love making creative, modern and fun images of you and your guests.

The most important thing is that you enjoy every priceless moment, I will will make sure I capture it all, so your memories can be preserved forever.

Where to get married in Essex

I live in Essex myself and there are some beautiful places in the region for your special day. Whether you choose a rustic style barn wedding or a traditional Manor House, or even an outdoor celebration, the county of Essex can offer them all. I have taken pictures in all of the Home Counties and regularly work across the east of England, including some of the most prestigious wedding venues in the region, including Gosfield Hall, Gaynes Park, Braxted Park, Leez Priory, Houchins and many many more. I am also a recommended supplier at these wonderful places and shoot regularly at High house weddings, Creeksea Place and the Lion Inn near Chelmsford- The venue’s that any Essex wedding photographer would love to shoot at.
